After breaking through as UK underground hits a new stride, London rapper Ledbyher‘s rise has been propelled by raw energy, a sharp-edged attitude, and a shapeshifting sound that moves between jerk, grunge, and neo-soul.
Ahead of the release of her new mixtape, The Elephant, next week, Ledbyher curates a Crack Mix designed for zoning out on the train. This mix seamlessly weaves through underground rap, pop, and archival recordings from London raves, inviting listeners to get locked into her unique sonic world.

Where: I’m from Norfolk, but I’m based in London.
What: I mainly work with jerk and other sub-genres of rap. However, I also enjoy producing pop, hyperpop, and indie pop, and I try to mash these genres together. With a hopeful vibe, I aim for a lo-fi sound that adds character to my tracks.

Why: I’ve attempted to keep a diary for many years, but it has never quite worked out. When I look back on my life, I see it through the lens of the music I’ve created. Each track captures a piece of that era and those memories, serving as inspiration to keep making music.
